Good episode, but I'm citing some omissions: Ennio Morricone, Tubular Bells, Pino Donaggio, Henry Manfredini, Howard Shore (now an A-lister, but he worked on over a dozen Cronenberg films going back to '79; Videodrome wouldn't have the same hallucinatory quality without his synth-heavy doom score). Then they briefly get into sound design, which they should. It's as essential of a component to horror as music is. But how can you mention that without including the industrial hellscape of Eraserhead or the terrifying Musique concrète of Texas Chainsaw Massacre? I know it's only an hour, but something more comprehensive might have been done.

Season 2, Episode 4 - It's spelled "Bernard Herrmann," not "Bernard Hermann. "

I appreciated the Film Scores episode - nice to hear from interviewees who seem to know that they're talking about. And the biggies were all covered. Bravo. But a glaring ommission: Pino Donaggio! The man who's scored countless DePalma films, classics like Don't Look Now, and B movie favorites like Tourist Trap and Puppetmaster. There was a brief Carrie clip I believe but Donaggio deserved a segment, an evaluation, more than just a passing glance.

Feels like I’m at a party with like minded people, gushing over horror movies we all love with the added bonus of seeing the visuals. I also love that it serves as a recommendations corner. Keep em coming!
