Had some interesting ideas but it’s a bloody mess with not nearly enough blood and some bad acting. Don’t waste your time.

Not a good film, Mediocre directing and editing. The mystery is ambiguous and maybe a little pretentious. Though the acting is good, the characters are dull... However, every five years or so, i'm reminded of it and and compelled to watch it again. I come to the same conclusions about its quality every time but there must be something there if it draws you back in, right?

This ran out of ideas about an hour in, but that first hour was really fun. If you like the mindfucky style of cosmic horror, where the entire world simply stops operating the way it should, then you might enjoy this.

Strong opening with no payoff. The description mentions an ancient evil, which (spoiler alert) is a hat, but is never explained. I get the metaphor they were trying to go for, but it could have been executed in a much better way.
