Wilczyca

Directed by Marek Piestrak

Set in 1848, a cavalry officer named Kasper returns home to find his wife dying after a botched abortion – from a pregnancy he had no part in. With her last breath she confesses that she has sold her soul to the Devil, and will return as a she-wolf to haunt him for the rest of his days. Seeking to forget these traumatic events, Kasper takes a job for a Count who’s been driven into exile, promising to look after the man’s house and his wife Julia until the Count can safely return. But Julia is an insatiably lustful creature who quickly takes up with an Austrian soldier in her husband’s absence. Could Julia’s feral nature be connected to the large wolf that’s been seen roaming the grounds?

A cavalry officer named Kasper returns home to find his wife dying. With her last breath she confesses that she has sold her soul, and will return as a she-wolf.

Cast: Krzysztof Jasinski, Iwona Bielska, Stanislaw Brejdygant, Olgierd Lukaszewicz, Henryk Machalica

Not my favorite film, which is too bad because the plot is interesting. Only if the runtime wasn’t padded out with too much setup without that many moments of payoff.

Very, very, very slow but, ultimately, a good story.

It was just ok for me I'll give it tons of credit for amazing storytelling but ultimately it doesn't move anywhere fast enough but I don't think that was the purpose of the movie anyway. Based on the poster i was hoping for something creepier but you might enjoy it you never know.
