This movie is bleak, uncomfortable, at times sickening, tense, unexpected, shocking and completely captivating.
Now THAT was a really crazy movie to watch :skull_and_crossbones:️
Excellent storytelling, with powerful human horror. Gothic folk horror at its traumatic, traumatizing best.
I feel a little bamboozled by the overwhelmingly 5 star reviews. The movie was fine, honestly. The acting was solid. But it drags its feet through three acts just to push you along, bored out of your mind, into the last 15-ish minutes where something actually happens.
Great atmospheric and haunting film . Brilliant cinematography, acting and sound design.
