Not surprised to see this getting such low reviews, as it's marketed as a creature feature when it's really more of a family drama/crime story, with supernatural overtones (which become more pronounced in the final quarter). That said, it's atmospheric as all hell, there are some genuinely creepy moments, and the acting is excellent. If you aren't an arthouse aficionado, you should probably pass this one by.
absolute waste of time nothing happened for the first hour of the movie absolutely no pacing
this awful movie is still the worst in 2025!
I actually really dig Fessenden, but this was awful.
Not a lot of scare but decent acting and fun to think about after it's all over.
