Venom
Directed by Piers Haggard
Three kidnappers find out crime really doesn’t pay when their young victim accidentally becomes owner of a furious Black Mamba, the deadliest snake on Earth! Now the clueless criminals (Euro-cult cinema legends Klaus Kinski, Oliver Reed and Susan George) are trapped in a house surrounded by police, while on the inside, the slithering serpent is plotting where to sink its poisonous fangs. VENOM was intended to be Tobe Hooper’s follow-up to EATEN ALIVE. But when he was suddenly fired, Piers Haggard (BLOOD ON SATAN’S CLAW) stepped in to see the scary story through.
Klaus Kinski, Oliver Reed and Susan George face off against a vicious snake in this cult favorite.
Cast: Klaus Kinski, Oliver Reed, Nicol Williamson, Susan George

Entertaining 80s snake flick with a stacked cast. Little kid kinda reminded me of Bob from House by the Cemetery. As a keeper of herbs myself, when Susan George bites it (heh), all I could think about was those poor critters getting knocked over.
i can only imagine local pub after hours
looks like I am the 1st to review. if you love 80s thrillers and oliver reed this is the movie to watch. Black mamba loose in an apartment with bad guys. always a great watch.
Black Mamba" "Black Mamba" "Black Mamba". You've got to admit, it's fun to say. This was one of those animals I was fascinated to read about as a kid. I think I heard an episode of the radio show, "Suspense" that featured the creature and I was obsessed for a while. But snakes almost as good in the cast. Klaus Kinski can play creepy as well as anyone ever did. Add Oliver Reed and even Susan George and you've got a fine gang of crooks. Nice little thriller.
Almost as terrifying as the set where this loony bunch of actors must have been. Heavy alcohol budget.
