solid horror comedy. not as fun as some of the other Christmas horror movies that are trying (and failing) to be serious hut
like everyone has said, solid watch, very fun holiday movie
fanfreaking-tastically fun
I'm sorry, but it lost me two seconds in when they saw an adult female moose, thought it was a baby, then looked over at the adult male and said, "Is that your mother?" Oh my god. Jokes aside, the family dynamic was really boring to me. Useless dad and toxic-positivity stepmom. It didn't manage to be cathartic or funny. Just eh.
It's like "Straw Dogs" but with Norwegian elves. This is great fun. It's a solid Christmas horror comedy monster invasion movie. It knows what it is and it is a great drinking kinda movie. Performances are excellent, story is good, and the laughs are genuine if at times cringey. My only gripes is that it could have been a bit more bloody/gory and it ran on a bit too long. They could've shaved off a good 10 minutes. But this is definitely one to add to your mutant horror holiday movie list.
