Definitely a slow burn, but that’s kind of the idea. You get a real feeling of isolation in this film, which makes the protagonist’s slow descent into madness pretty believable. The plains environment feels ever present in this film. It sure is named correctly… this film contains copious amounts of wind. I can’t help but feel this whole mess could be avoided if someone would have just given her a kite.
Much better than I expected it to be, based on the rating. A tense, dramatic psychological horror told in non-chronological order with a (potentially) unreliable protagonist. Great use of the setting. Definitely a slow burn and the non-linear nature requires a little bit of attention - I tried to have it on as background, but it isn't good for that!
Incredibly boring and nonsensical unfortunately. Poor writing given to actors who did spectacularly but couldn’t save themselves
A great slow burn in its own right but does feel a little too much like the Witch. The ending isn’t very satisfying and while everything else is pretty good, we’ve all seen this type of story before.
Great horror. The isolation of living on the plains really upped the tension and desperation level.
