The Shiver of the Vampires

The Shiver of the Vampires

Directed by Jean Rollin

Sexually charged vampires prey on a young couple in this stylish French fright flick which stands with THE GRAPES OF DEATH as one of psychedelic horror director Jean Rollin's best early films. If you know Rollin, you already know what to expect: a young couple trapped in a castle, lesbian vampires, lots of nudity and sex, a killer prog soundtrack and and a mode of storytelling that favors atmospheric art direction over plot or dialogue. But that's part of the fun - and you'll surely be giggling and gagging in equal measure.

Only really worth watching if you have no other possible way to see a naked woman.

Went in with no expectations. Came out of it pleasantly surprised! Loved the style of this film. Would watch again,

I can't get past the music. It doesn't go with tge film and it's horrible. Worst guitar playing ever. Maybe the director's nephew got one for Christmas. It's so bad

Funny and sexy! I love the hippie costumes of the two male vampires! 70s vampire hipness Jean Rollin style!
