In an effort to heal after witnessing her sister's horrific murder, Nic, her younger sister Annie and two close friends travel to a remote Pacific Island for a kayaking and diving adventure. Only hours into their expedition, the women are stalked and then attacked by a Great White shark. Pretty standard wildness/animal attack survival story. Gets a bit slow at parts. I like: the woman are not catty or at each other's throats, they focus on survival. I dislike: characterizing sharks as bloodthirsty killers or allegories to domestic violence.
I like it, not bad at all, but the shark is a lazy MF.
