I found the main character acting to be superb. Overall a fun ride.
surprisingly lovely
Lately, I've been watching some really terrible horror movies, and one of them was The Power. The film is incredibly slow-paced and progressively gets worse. I had expected it to gradually darken and take us on a journey to other realms. But it's a script that's been thoroughly cursed with nonsense from beginning to end. The script itself is terrible. And they've utterly ruined it with absurdity. In the movie, the bosses are black, the head nurses are black. Black people run all the operations in the film. Feminism, nonsense, Black Lives Matter, absurd movies all come out under the guise of a horror movie. I mean, I don't easily give two stars on Letterboxd to these films. But I did for this one. Let those two stars be for Sound Editing. They did good Sound Editing.
Pretty good. Good story, good acting, actually kinda spooky. I enjoyed it.
A great woman-led horror movie.
