First, the acting was good, especially by Lily D. Moore, who played Fiona and is a professional actor with Down syndrome. The feeling of dread got me immediately. The idea for "The Other," i. e. , the identity of the "monster," was innovative, and the writer director should have sat with a committee to develop it better. Then, there were the inexplicable choices of the father, certain phenomena from the monster that were never explained correctly, lack of development of the backstory, and the ending. Hope there's a "The Other 2," so it can continue briefly, or at least an extended version of this oen.
the beginning and middle was decent, till the end then after they removed the twin the curse still seem like it wasn't over from how his fiance was reacting. .
Great movie but why do all great movies and terribly? Ugh!
Weird in a good way. It was an interesting take on parenthood/adoption/pregnancy-birth/girlhood/possession horror tropes. I liked the special effects. There were some really cool props. It was decently bloody and had some really interesting subtext for basically every character. I would watch this again.
It got really dumb.
