I know everyone’s go-to from this timeframe and theme is the Hell House LLC franchise, but as on the whole, I really love Houses October Built. I rewatch every year at Halloween. To me this has everything that’s fun with haunts and it really feels more real and like something someone could really go through out in the boonies. I know it’s a hot take compared to most, but I really love this film and franchise

Pretty good movie if you need something less intensive on in the background while working. It's overall atmosphere is relatively tame and slowly builds up until the last 20 minutes or so, but afterwards i was just left thinking "man. . . all that buildup for that ending?" At least 50 minutes of the movie is very documentary based and centered on storybuilding and the culture of haunted houses, it's not the sort of movie i'd reccomend for viewers looking for fast paced horror this ones 100% slowburn with a rather anticlimatic ending. Think loosely of Mungo lake but with no tragedy, just some very silly Americans.

Idk why this movie gets so much hate I love it and yeah so what it’s a slow burn and nothing is actually real the point of the film is to show that how far would you go to be scared and yes there are haunted houses like this that you sign a waiver to allow them to do what ever they want to you.
