Unfairly villified, in my opinion. McConaughey is great, and the decision that the clan's activities are orchestrated by something akin to the illuminati is so out there that it's actually sort of inspired.
This is one of the best slasher parody movies of the 90's. Period666
better than i expected. slightly new angle to the series. Rob Zombie would give it 4 stars but ill give it 3. it has it all but it just lacks a little bit at everything.
its not the same without Choptop. not bad, though.
McConaughey is the only one who can act in this. It's pretty silly, pretty bad, and just goes around in circles. I guess it's supposed to be a black comedy. I dunno. It doesn't really lean enough into the horror or the comedy to work well at either. Some fun ideas, not executed particularly well.
