It was somewhat unique but obviously written as a short that had to be stretched out with random stuff to fill its listless story
Great art and storyline
everyone acted like maladjusted aliens which was very fun. most of the directors focus was clearly on the style and gotta say he really succeeded there, but i still wish that the actual meat of the story had more substance.
Creepy and gross, but the foreshadowing is a bit too obvious. However, takes the idea of a meat puppet all the way.
Sad to say that I didn't understand the hype. It's a well-made movie for sure, and the imagery is haunting and horrible. The story itself, though, fell a little flat for me. It didn't feel as climactic or earned as I'd hoped, but it's still worth a watch if you're curious. Has a bit of Black Swan and Hereditary vibes in that a woman just absolutely loses her mind to the pressure of trauma and expectations.
