If you like folk/atmospheric horror you'll like this. If that's not your style then probably avoid. I really liked this. Really just felt sad and depressed most of the time. If you are having long term relationship issues also probably avoid.

A very good example of British folk horror. Very atmospheric and creepy. Matt Smith is so wonderfully different from his happy, charming Doctor. Just watch it.

Just okay. Didn't get into the lore and character development enough.

Worth watching but that said while it is my style of movie it just leaves you depressed more than feeling any horror or even a fear of madness. It’s somewhat interesting but there is nothing that expands beyond the basic concept.

The ambiance and heavy mood of this film captivated me, and I loved the experience if for nothing else. I'm not sure I picked upon every plot point or bit of lore by the end of it, I felt a bit lost on the takeaway. I plan on picking up the novel before giving this another watch.
