My expectations were to blame here, see I was expecting an Alien rip-off and instead I got absolutely not that. More fascinating than terrifying, Sputnik manages to pack more moral complexity into every single character than most movies manage in one person all movie. It's smart, thrilling, and emotionally resonant. Sputnik should have set the world on fire but it criminally overlooked, at least I'm no longer part of that problem!
