Assuredly directed, clearly a student of the craft. So I like that solid old school approach. Actors are all at least capable. Though there's the one burned-out guy ("Jeremy" I think) who's played by someone much too good-looking to be believable. Yes, there are contrived elements (mostly from Rosemary's Baby), but so what? The kill scenes are surprisingly graphic, well staged. A cut above the standard fare. Maybe not a "classic" but not a waste of time either. Just wish the "entity" got more screen time and had better creature feature effects. But it was probably a budgetary issue. Would give it a 3. 5. But will round it to 4.

This movie is far from the best, but also not the worse. The plot leaves a lot to be desired and the characters' do not seem so flushed out as a whole. The plot twist was OK, but you could see it a mile away.
