Absolutely STRAINS against its low budget, sometimes gloriously and sometimes otherwise. The acting and narrative are both kind of all over the map on this one but the average experience is overall just really charming and fun. Uki (Nalajoss Ellsworth) runs away with this movie.
Fun indie movie!
Coming of age horror tale. Great to see indigenous story telling.
Their kid's movies hit different!
This movie is a very fun watch! It's great to see authentic representation of Inuit life written and directed by an Inuk woman, Nyla Innuksuk. It is more young adult in terms of actual horror but would be a good one for younger horror fans as it is pretty tame in terms of gore and shows kids modeling positive virtues. I'd love to see more feature length movies by this director.
