Silent Hill
Directed by Christophe Gans
Unable to accept the diagnosis that her daughter should be permanently institutionalized for psychiatric care, Rose flees with her child to the deserted town of Silent Hill in search for answers. It's soon clear this place is unlike anywhere she's ever been. It's smothered in fog, inhabited by strange beings and periodically overcome by a living "Darkness" that literally transforms everything it touches. Rose begins to learn the history of the eerie town and realizes that her daughter is just a pawn in a larger, terrifying game.

bad if you're a fan and bad even if you've never played the games
The visual effects and the creativity of the creatures really made this into a cult favorite. Storyline could be better but a movie always worth rewatching
You already know if you love it! I love it!
Not normally annoyed by kids in movies, but boy is that little girl irritating. The whining, the screeching, the smug attitude. Who would choose to adopt this child? Who would go to silent hill for her?
For a better appreciation of the movie, I highly recommend Scout Tafoya’s video essay posted on rogerebert. com: ***www.rogerebert.***/features/the-unloved-part-55-silent-hill
