good movie. it kinda reminded me of parties i attented when i was in high school. we were all a bunch of drama & theatre geeks. lol
SUPER FUN!!! What a great concept for a horror film. Taking the "tell me a scary story" idea and just running with it. Didn't stick the landing IMO, but gosh it's a fun ride.
I know Josh Ruben strictly from dropout. This movie was actually so well done and better than I imagined it'd be. Super well directed and Josh and Aya kill it as leads. Cool original story/movie. Worth the watch.
Didn't know what to expect, and was blown away. Is this movie scary? No. It's just darn fun! But it still keeps you with a sense of suspense and pays off beautifully with a very VERY understated ending. It honestly feels like one long set up for a punchline that only works because of the 100 minutes it takes to get there. I've followed Josh Ruben for about 15 years now, and he's still never disappointed me!!
This is one of the most unique and fun movies I have seen here on Shudder. It was so engaging and interesting, and the ending wrapped everything together so nicely. This is a piece that motivates you to ask questions and to think about your own creative life. I really enjoyed it!
