Yes, this is good Queer horror fun. That being said. If we really want Queer Horror to become a sub-genre of Horror. We need to show we can do better than this. The special effects were bad. Yes, I like that this movie used actual Queer actors. We need to have more budget for Queer Horror in order to have better special effects and make up effects. You would think as good as the Queer community is at Make-up that The Make-up effects would be flawless. Get some of the people from Dragula they are amazing with Make-up. Yes, I love that is an original story, but it could have been executed better. There could've been more research into Satanism done for this movie. Satanist don't do Human sacrifices that was a wives tale used to create Satanic Panic back in the day. We need to show we can do Queer Horror better than this.
I really wish people would use their brain. This artist is incredible, they used what they had and put it out there. Hopefully they dont listen to the literal haters and keep going because the potential in this is insane!!! Imagine if they were given what they needed to create to their hearts desire.
definitely a decent piece of camp horror, but the pacing isn't the best.
'Shidder84' about 3 reviews below mine is really dumb lmao, Talk to me had a budget of 4. 5 million (And also directed by the racka racka guys who have years of experience) , while all of Alice's films have about $0 of budget, Alice is also a trans woman so no "hijacking identities" here ALSO ALSO it's literally an indie film made by (i think) an 18 yr old (at the time) Why are you blaming all of Australia for a film you didn't personally like? It's kinda. . . really dumb lol Anyway about the film really good a huge upgrade from t-blockers and super impressive
My word I couldn't engage with this at all it was dreadful. I think queer indie filmmaking should definintely be encouraged but this was a mess. I realise they are trying (and for that reason it gets 2 skulls rather than one) yet this is almost unwatchable, I really struggled to finish this. It's all so wooden-the acting, the screenplay, the plot and the singing. Everything is poorly executed and delivered. Not at all recommended.
