The acting took this very familiar story to a very rare place indeed. Captivating. Highly recommended.
I got through 20 minutes of this. Not to victim blame but miss girl why the hell would you get out of your car?
i liked it. it was different. i thought it would be the standard rape assholes in the middle of no where picking on women. he fight was authentic and it felt real. i loved the characters and her desire to just survive. i love the methbcookee because i think he just needed good in his life. great movie. not horror, more drama, like emotional horror.
Absolutely worth the watch!
While plots like this have been done many times (think of The Virgin Spring, Last House on the Left, Wrong Turn, Hunted, I Spit on Your Grave, etc. ), I was glad the character of Sawyer wasn't a wimp. Or that one brother was the nicest meth lab cooker you'd ever meet. Or that Sheriff O'Doyle was even scarier than Orson Welles' sheriff in Touch of Evil. Though it followed a well-trod path, it did keep my attention until the very end.
