Letterboxd: Runnertw That scene in the courtroom when he waves had me gasping! What an interesting concept for a film about what red rooms are. I’ve heard of them before I think from other films but this one really just dives in and shows the horrors of the dark web and red rooms. This is a foreign film so it’s all in subtitles so be prepared for that. Over all the packing can feel slow at times but the highs hit when they do come. And the main girl what a freak I feel I’ll have to watch a breakdown video about her because I still don’t understand what she was wanting by attending the trail of the red rooms killer. You don’t ever actually see the killing take place thank god but you do get to hear the killings and I believe hearing is just as or even worse then seeing because it lets our minds make up what we think is actually happening on the other side. The hearing and not seeing reminds me of the film that won an Oscar for sound design last year by A24 Zone of interest. Overall a solid film that can be slow at times and a lot of dialogue but the 3rd act will have you locked in on what’s next will be be found guilty did the killer actually do it or is he being setup?
Specific. In a way that’s uncommonly known as being specific and observational. It brings calculating to a whole other level. It gave the perfect amount of information without taking away from the build-up of anticipation. It wasn’t one of those films that made you upset for not being able to see what was on the videos of the young girls. If anything, if left you thankful that you couldn’t see what actually happened. Although I’m sure the directors maybe thought about showing even a snippet of it, I’m glad they did not show it. Taking things to the edge is an understatement. Great film!
Saw this one weeks ago and can’t stop thinking about it
Not bad. 3. 5 skulls
I enjoyed this movie definitely had me pulled in. The ending was a little disappointing I feel it could have been done better. But overall a good watch would recommend.
