Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale

In this darkly comic gem, it's Christmas Eve in northern Finland, and an archeological dig has just unearthed Santa Claus. But this Santa isn't one you want coming to town. When local children begin disappearing, Pietari and his father capture the mythological being and attempt to sell Santa to the corporation sponsoring the dig. (In Finnish with English subtitles.) i love this movie; it's become a Christmas classic for me. the main character is super likeable, pacing is great. wouldn't call it scary, but a feel- good Xmas movie if i ever saw one.
Weird, but fun. Definitely light on horror, although it is creepy/unsettling. The lead child actor is fantastic.
