Great movie with fun horror and an interesting story throughout, highly recommend to any fan of j-horror
Overrated. I'm a fan of J-Horror in general and Miike specifically. And I STILL thought it was overrated. I had to watch it in something like five sittings because I kept getting bored.
Quite excellent supernatural thriller in the classic J-Horror mode. The acting is good, the women are attractive, the cops are either feckless or assholes, and the main undead antagonist is fucking disgusting. The second act, when the exploitation media gets involved, was the most entertaining section for my money. The third act, taking place in the condemned hospital, was the scariest. The whole movie was superlative, in fact, with the sole possible exception of the final few minutes, which I simply failed to grok. All in all, however, it’s another line drive homer for everybody’s favorite cinematic lunatic, Takeshi Miike.
best version, the Japanese know how to scare you!! don't bother with the American version it's so lame
A lot of fun, creepy and suspenseful like most J-Horror. I was rooting for the characters the whole way through and really grew to care about them.
