A twisted man brings home a corpse for him and his wife to use sexually in this controversial cult hit from German director Jörg Buttgereit. Rob and Betty are hardcore necrophiliacs. But when Betty runs away with the decaying corpse Rob's brought home, things get really, really messed up. Though NEKROMANTIK was banned in many countries thanks to its extreme subject matter, the film's perverse parodic edge made it a hit with horror and extreme cinema fans (including John Waters) in 1987. Even today, it's not for the faint of heart - or easily offended. (In German with English Subtitles) Contains strong language, sexual scenes, violence and gore.

Sick and weird… and sick! Animal cruelty is too much for me and the music audio in this movie was Horrible made me wanna turn it off really. Scenes were so slowwwww but it did have some good visual effects.
Sick and weird… and sick. Hated the music audio they used, made me wanna turn it off more than the visuals, watched most of it on mute. Taboo themed movies can be soooo good, but animal cruelty is too much for me and this one also was just bad, scenes moved way too slow only upside was special affects were VERY well done.
Sick, and weird. . and sick. This movie was so slowww, not in the storytelling but within the scenes they move so slow and are almost all set up with no reward, I can understand taboo themed movies they can be some of the best, but this was just bad and animal cruelty is just too far for me. Barely any dialogue within the whole movie and the music audio was so horrible and physically painful to listen to, it made me almost turn it off more than the visuals. I've endlessly heard of this film and knew one day I'd watch it just because it's on that list of *forbidden horror movies* but genuinely it was awful. I'd give it one skull but the originality of some of it was kind of interesting.
I don't really know what I was expecting, it was just gross frankly.
