There were some moments that did slow the film down, and there's absolutely some kind of MST3k adjacent energy to the movie, but that makes it all the more charming. The movie is gorgeous, a bit sleazy, and beautifully shot. Admittedly, the fact that I was high for the first half may have some influence on my opinion, but this was a fun movie that hits on a lot of my more niché interests. As pretentious as it sounds, this is one of those movies that will probably not appeal to someone totally unfamiliar with, not only Horror, but all the other subgenres that this movie dips into. It's an odd movie, no question. But this is more than just a few layers deep on an onion. This is like one of those spots in the onion where another onion almost started to grow but ultimately was choked out. If that makes sense. It's not like anything I was expecting, and it kept me guessing. There's something about this era of filmmaking that appeals to me, and I can absolutely see how this movie may have influenced a lot of the movies I grew up with. I honestly want to look up more about this movie and the people who made it.
Weak, confused plot, poor visuals, no thrills. Would not recommend.
These are not zombies - similar, but not zombies. Some cool stuff going on here. Horror completist vibes. If slow is not for you, I’d skip it.

Super weird, and nothing much happens, but it's just so strange that I'm kind of onboard???
