These are not zombies - similar, but not zombies. Some cool stuff going on here. Horror completist vibes. If slow is not for you, I’d skip it.

Super weird, and nothing much happens, but it's just so strange that I'm kind of onboard???
I'm not a fan of arty films but there are some I like. This one I kind of liked because of the atmosphere and setting. Thought the red paint as blood being a nice touch. Also some very funny moments like "You're not supposed to eat the fuzz" and the film at the cinema being called "Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye" lol. The person who likened this to "Carnival of Souls" and "Dead and Buried" has nailed it. This isn't as good as either of them but its trying to be-in a good way. It falls short of its ambitions but its definitely worth a watch. Could've been better but there's scenes that do work. Good try and effort.
I was rewatching Annie Hall today. The scene when Woody Allen and Diane Keaton first arrive in Los Angeles, the camera follows them as they are driving and they pass a movie theatre and on the marquee are two films, House of Exorcism and Messiah of Evil. I was planning to watch Messiah of Evil today before Annie Hall, so it was a funny coincidence. This movie was creepy and unnerving, though not the greatest. But I enjoyed the atmosphere and music, so I recommend it.
