Different enough from the first one that it still feels fresh. Indonesian Evil Dead. This movie wears more of its inspirations on its sleeve than the first, from the story, effects, and cinematography. If you're a fan of Sam Raimi, or even just the Evil Dead films as a whole, it's DEFINITELY a must-watch
Some decent scares/creepy scenes, but dumb story.
Loved it! Even more than the first one.
Everything is overstated from beginning to end. And the lead actress just doesn’t feel genuinely there. I get a sense this is a bad homage to 80’s gore. Could have been so much better, given its inspiration.
I think I would have enjoyed this better with a different final girl. Her acting when it comes to being scared was a bit annoying. Always shaking her head. I felt like the story was not complete or original. I wanted to like this more than I did.
