Don’t listen to Grendelprime3 clearly a critic that bashes every horror movie out there but anyway the movie was great!!! if ur a fan of the evil dead movies then this is deff for u !!!! But watch the first one cause clearly the idiot grendelprime3 didn’t realize that it was a sequel threw out the entire movie smh
Ok, so its decent. Some of the acting, especially as the film goes on is pretty hammy. There's not much that makes me jump, but this did have one that sorta got me. I feel like by the title in Indonesian showing the number 2, and some of the flashbacks that this is a sequel and I couldn't find an original on Shudder. Not great, but a decent enough watch.
After my first terrific introduction to Indonesian horror with "Satan's Slaves", this was a bit of a letdown. It did a middling job of informing me that this was a sequel, but I could have used a bit more clarification. It does seem to strive for an "Evil Dead" style of manic camerawork and execution but didn't stand out much on its own. The acting performances, particularly of the lead actress playing Alfie, left something to be desired. I'm quite harsh grading the performances of child actors because the vast majority are not good and almost nothing blows immersion for me faster. The little girl here isn't the worst example around, but I blame the director for failing to give her the chance to behave as a terrified child would. He left her just deadpan and hanging. I can cut a movie slack a few times when it comes to characters making dumb decisions, but this one sailed well over the line. The scare attempts are rote and didn't work for me overall, but on the positive side it has some good camera work and sets a suitably creepy atmosphere at times. The makeup effects work is pretty good. I was left wanting them to really cut loose and achieve the sense of anarchy they tried and failed to reach. This isn't terrible by any means, but there is much better international horror here on offer.
Crazy stupid... monsters were cool though
Captivating from the first moment, even if it's in Indonesian.
