Great movie it came out at the right time if anybody remembers the mews from that era
Wildly weird and psychedelic revenge story with typical over the top Nic Cage. What’s not to love?
This was an art house/surreal take on love, loss, the depths of evil, and the bitter sweetness of violent, gory revenge. As always, Cage delivers a performance that teeters on over-the-top but has just enough restraint to create a multi-faceted character that is relatable and believable. Well done by all involved.
I'm not even sure I fully know what happened in this movie, but I had a great time watching it.
This is one to watch on a big screen with good lighting and sound. Get comfortable, strap in, and just let it wash over you.
