LOVED IT! I wanna watch it 100x.
This film belongs in the hallows of cinematic legends, and im not being hyperbolic. It’s not just a great horror film, it’s truly at the very top tier of what can be done with stop motion animation. It’s not for the squeamish, which is such a shame because everyone should get to see it. But if you can endure, it’s really such an amazing piece of art!
A 90 minutes visual tour de force that pushes the boundaries of cinematic art. Mad God is a brutal, completely unrestrained dive into the unconscious ID of legendary stop-motion animator Phil Tippet. A twisted assault on the senses, it’s not for everyone but those willing to try something more experimental will find a wholly unique experience.
I'll be watching this for the rest of my life.
