If you don't have training in psychology then this movie will confuse the hell out of you. The mother and the grandmother created their own monsters, Circumstances won't create a monster unless the choice is made to create one. The monsters in their minds created their external monsters and it was all done by one conscious choice. The drugs aren't the monster. The conscious choice to use drugs birthed a monster but drugs aren't the only monsters in this movie. It's a very interesting watch. The hole goes way deeper than the choice to do drugs. If you like movies that make you think then this one is for you. It's psychological horror on a different level.
Definitely an interesting movie. Enjoyed Krsy Fox's portrayal and Heather Langenkamps little cameo was nicely done overall. Seems to stumble a bit in third act, but I enjoyed it in general.
Enjoyable, with some great moments, but with rather uneven pacing—slow for the most part, awkwardly jarring in the final moments.
