Outside of the required bizarro village and a decent dose of surrealism, nothing happens much happens. Events happen, but you're never sure what they have to do with anything. The movie invites you to look away or turn it off because it's not there for you.
This movie is an odd one to be sure. As a horror film, I don't think there's much of note; while the village definitely is bizarre and the locals range from silent and stationary to incompetent or thuggish, there really isn't anything scary about the movie. As a bizarre French pseudo-action film however, I did find it quite enjoyable. The lead actor is heroic and throws fists and kicks very well, though I have to admit that final fight scene was a little bit cringy. Still, I enjoyed the film more than a lot of schlock that tries to ratchet up the gore in order to potentially heighten the horror.
It was definitely different I think it was ok it starts out better than it finishes but I was intrigued even though at times it's all over the place and I didn't fully grasp everything lol.
It was so all over the place but kind of intriguing even though I didn't fully grasp what the hell was going on.
Beyond boring!
