Friedkin was a genius! The Excorcist is one of my favorite films of all time and I had no idea of the depths of detail that went into every frame! I could listen to that guy talk all day about film and art.
i knew the exorcist was an artistic masterpiece, but listening W.F describbing his artistic view of it is just awesome! great watch!
This will hit like meth for film students. It is a very artful scene by scene film, describing the director's actions and influences. I would have preferred a more action-filled documentary around the reactions of audiences for the Exorcist and how it affected the actors e.g. how Linda Blair had to go into hiding after this film because people really saw her as demonic.
Wow! Extraordinary documentary! I learned so much not only about The Exorcist but about so many concepts! Friendkin was a badass!
