Late Night with the Devil is so charming, the pitch perfect 70s aesthetic coupled with a compelling lead character make it nearly irresistible. That's before the expertly crafted tension begins to ramp up, a fascinating and often hilarious spiderweb. Unfortunately, the narrative absolutely faceplants hard in the last several minutes of the film. Come for the great buildup, stay for the electric central performance, delight in the fun kills near the end, and leave just before (what is supposed to be) the emotional climax which doesn't quite work on any level. Wanted to adore this movie, only ended up liking it. . . which, at the end of the day, is still pretty dang good.
Interesting film, not a huge fan of the plot and the acting is ok.
great
Overall pretty fun movie but it’s not very scary at all. It is definitely a fun watch but misses the mark for me personally on the scare factor.
