I liked a lot of the elements of the film. For me, I think maybe it just needed to push something even further (I'm not sure what exactly but like just one thing). I wanted it to be weirder. There's kind of a stylized mumblecore aspect that I wanted to pop a little more.

Honestly. . . I'm at a loss for words. This film has so many things you could say about it. It's provocative, mesmerizing, and a perfect allegory for the frailty of societal norms as well as the human condition. The audio work was amazing! I loved the fem vocalizations throughout, it gave a very haunting tone. My mind Arby's will never be the same. . .

this is interesting! i really appreciate the curation. though it's coming at the material from the experimental theater world instead of early 20th century surrealism, it's probably closest to Buñuel's 'The Exterminating Angel'. i think it works best if you imagine the barrier trapping them in the house as similarly magical. i could see how it could be a frustrating film if you tried to watch it through a purely literal lens: why can't they get out the windows, why are they acting so unrealistically, etc. . it's probably best interpreted a little loosely.

I'm not one to crap on other artists, so I will just say that I think you should skip this one.
