how about we get the Stephan king movies instead of a movie about movies?
If you're a fan of Stephen King, like I am, you will love this documentary. It has incredible coverage and insight of his work, the interviews give distinct details, and there's great humor and drama sprinkled appropriately in the telling. Personally, I found some of the segments prolonged more so than they needed to be. Maybe some of the talking points were a little heavy handed and on the nose. Overall, it's great. . . for someone with a passion for the King of horror.
I was not expecting it to be this good as there are a few other similar docs out there that leave a lot to be desired. But this is by far the best King doc I’ve seen.
Worth watching if you're a casual King fan or a constant reader.
A solid, comprehensive look at not just the adaptations of Stephen King’s work, but the source material itself. I only wish that King himself would have participated. I bet he’s got tons of interesting stories about the adaptations and the people who made them. Not a big deal though. The documentary works perfectly without.
