As a feature debut, I thought Kill Your Lover was superb. It’s a tightly contained, thought-provoking, and genuinely tense piece of horror. The filmmakers made excellent use of the limited space, wringing atmosphere and dread out of every corner, and the performances across the board were strong and convincing. It’s an impressive first outing, and I’m really looking forward to seeing what the filmmakers do next.
I like what they were trying to do, but they didn't quite pull it off. Interesting body horror and concept (literal toxic relationship). Too many sex scenes (no really, the point was well made first time around) and the ending was a little to literal. Still short and reasonably amusing, at the end kind of got a "low budget music video" vibe out of the whole production.
I really enjoyed it! I loved the acting and the make up effects. It was a study in relationship toxicity, well-paced, and artfully made. Well done!
Great movie, shows how toxic and abusive relationships can be, both mentally and physically. Has some unsettling moments of this. Effects are also good and has a lot of dark scenes in it.
This is terrible and why does everyone have red hair?
