I really loved this. I do kinda disagree with the idea that it's not a horror movie. It is, it's just more in a gothic tradition than in a gorey one. I like the naturalistic approach to the ghosts a lot, and that final seance scene is chilling, to me at least. Shocked I never heard of this before, it's an all timer.

Very beautiful and atmospheric slow-burn ghost story. Not at all a horror movie, but very worth watching for the vibes

Well shot, acted, and scored. A true tragedy, with plenty of beautiful imagery.

Gripping, mysterious, and quiet Filipino family drama / ghost story classic. I hope Shudder adds de Leon’s Kisapmata next!

Beautiful restoration of this little seen Filipino art house ghost story, by the master Mike de Leon. More of a family drama than a conventional horror movie, so glad this was made available.
