solid
What if you take deep south American gothic but make it South East Asian. The atmosphere is so thick you can see it, and the lighting really helped with that. There is also very definiatly a BIG nod to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre (espcially the end bit with the truck). The ending wasn't what I expected and I liked it as I thought the storyline ending (the bit just before One year later) was a bit. . . easy/hokey/unsatisfactory very much "I've completed the quest it's all going to be ok now". But no the epilog made sure that wasn't the case. If you like a nice sense of forboding, guessing when and were the jumpscares will happen, and a thick atmosphere then this is for you. But be warned there are some hard scenes involving babies. . .
great movie
This was fun!
I had heard so much about this film, and how good it was. maybe I was expecting more? The movie nailed the atmosphere, but everything else seemed lack luster. It wasn't bad, but I can't imagine myself ever wanting to watch this again.
