Hunted
Directed by Vincent Paronnaud
What started as a flirtatious encounter at a bar turns into a life-or-death struggle as Eve (Lucie Debay) becomes the unknowing target of a misogynistic plot against her. Forced to flee as two men pursue her through the forest, she’s pushed to her extremes while fighting to survive in the wilderness—but survival isn’t enough for Eve. She will have revenge. A SHUDDER ORIGINAL.
In a radical take on Red Riding Hood, a woman is plunged into a life-or-death struggle when two killers pursue her through the wilderness.

What a ride! The storyline was excellent. It was beautifully shot, the cinematography was stunning, the music was elegant and eerie, and I loved the animals that were brought into the movie. The villain was superb. And all the supporting cast did a great job. All that being said, the heroine irritated the crap out of me in nearly every shot except the scene with the deer. How can one woman, with so much drive to survive, be so STUPID! She had dozens and dozens and dozens of chances to put an end to her abductor, but just kept letting him get away,...and then continue to chase her. Nature came to her rescue countless of times,...the supporting cast tried to help over and over,...but all she did was throw down weapons and run away. Honestly, I wanted her to be murdered in the end too, just because she was so ridiculous. That took away a skull. The revenge moments were sorely missed and caused the movie to lose so much potential.
Started off pretty strong and tense. But then just descended into a joke. Moment she met the others in the wood, it lost all momentum.
Definitely a different take on the Little red riding Hood versus the big bad Wolf story. Great movie and thrilling to the very end.
Absolutely without a doubt not good. There was zero revenge in this movie. If you are expecting a movie where you receive the satisfaction of seeing a woman use quick wit to violently fight her way from her abductors through whatever means necessary, this is not the film for you.
Enjoyed but wouldn’t watch it again
