Humanoids from the Deep
Directed by Barbara Peeters, Jimmy T. Murakami
In this gory low-budget shocker from the Roger Corman stable, genetically treated salmon escape the plant and are eaten by coelacanths, who mutate into humanoid monsters with giant craniums and sharp claws. The creatures begin attacking teen couples, killing the boys and mating with the girls (in some pretty graphic monster-rape scenes), creating total pandemonium at the annual salmon festival.
Half man, half fish terrorize a small fishing village in this Roger Corman shocker.
Cast: Doug McClure, Ann Turkel, Vic Morrow, Cindy Weintraub

Not a bad movie fun to watch
Pretty fun movie! One thing that bugged me a bit was the audio loop of a woman screaming for 15-20 minutes near the end.
It’s 80’s. It’s cheesy. You know why you watch films like these. It’s not the acting.
The director was pretty mad about what Corman did to her film, and it’s easy to see why. He added nudity, because he’s Corman and he wanted it to sell. It is fun at points, sometimes funny, and it’s nice to see Mendocino county well utilized.
Just what I was looking for - mindless monsters terrorizing a town, lots of blood, and a total 70-80s feel.
