not scary in the least.
Like to see mexican horror making a slow come back.
The reviews here claiming this isn't a horror movie are LYING. Excellent, anxiety-inducing body horror, grappling with the complexity of being a queer person and a mother, and the weight of social judgments around both. Really worth a watch!
I don’t know why the filmmakers bothered with even flirting with the supernatural or horror elements in the movie because they never committed to it so after the first initial scare there is nothing really scary about it, but what it could have been was a complex drama about some really meaningful and pertinent issues but instead it was neither.
Creepy as hell!
