In this found-footage gem, a documentary crew visit the site of a haunted house attraction whose opening night ended with 15 unexplained deaths. Eventually the crew come across a surviving employee who has footage that shines a scary light on what really went down that night. As we watch those ill-fated thrillseekers shuffling through the horror house, the knowledge of what’s about to happen makes for a squirm-and-scream-inducing good time. Dread Central called it “a perfect fright flick for the Halloween season” which features “one of the creepiest clowns to appear in a horror movie in a long time.” Sorry Pennywise!

The actors portraying people being interviewed were unfortunately not convincing. It's a difficult task, and they were just not up to it. Bad makeup and set design played a part. Also the director made a mistake by omitting any establishing shots. All of that sabotaged the film right from the start, and I couldn't go on.
This movie (and subsequent series) are excellent found footage films. Moved along pretty quickly and the reveals were not goofy. Overall a good watch.

As I look through the reviews of this movie, it’s clear that many of them were written by people involved in the production. Anyone who wasn't part of the movie set would likely describe it as Grade A trash.
