Better than the second one, but still saddled with it's awful lore ideas and I don't think they stuck the landing at the end. Effects were better this time around except for Russell's scar, which was distractingly bad.
Fun end to the original trilogy, but not as good as the first one. Slows the pace down more than the second one did, tries to build more atmosphere but it is hindered by trying to be too big of a story. Acting is not great in this one, while some are intentionally bad actors, others just do not sell anything natural about it at all so it really loses the "found footage documentary" vibe at times. If you liked the other two you'll like this one, but it doesn't stand on its own well.
Okay. . . I like having clean resolutions and ending it with the OG cast was a pretty clean scene. Definitely the weakest of the four and I feel like there were a TON of loose ends, some of which are addressed in the 4th movie. Not sure how to feel about this one.
A good cap on the end, but where the story goes, it's kind of hindered by the found footage style when people start monologuing like a movie where we're not pretending it's a documentary lol.
Fun addition to the series
