Embarrassingly bad. Wish I could give this 0 skulls. Half the scares--I'm being generous even calling them that--are like "hey, member that thing from the first movie? Here's that but not scary at all. " The practical effects are tacky, everything is just in your face instead of an atmosphere of dread like the first film, and the acting is absolutely atrocious. Utter trash. This movie should've never been made.
Lackluster acting is made semi ok with some cool plot development. Decent scares
Hot Garbage on a summers day. The first was so cool, this is a severe step down. Cheesy, bad acting, almost nothing good given to the plot. Had to stop it just over half way. Now to see if the 3rd redeems this . .
Now I would always reccomend the Hell House films but this is always the one I struggle to reccomend. Its good to have for some nice scares and story for the next films but GOD THE ACTING. Its as bad as a student film at times. Its not great, not by a long shot, but watch this to get the full Hell House experience.
