Few movies earn a 5 star to me, but this makes the cut. Folk horror at it's best, with character building to match a rich plot steeped in history and a modern enough setting to recontextualize the terror for todays audience. no element was neglected in this films formula for a folkhorror frenzy. bonus points for generational curses, always gets me!
What an accomplishment. All the way down to the sound editing, a truly exceptional film. In a world of total rubbish horror, what a relief to see films of this quality still getting made.
truly one of the best pieces of folk horror i have ever seen
pretty good folk horror
heavier on the folk than the horror but still good folk horror!
