Directed by Michael Thelin

As their parents head out for a date night, the three young Thompson children immediately take to their new babysitter, Anna, who seems like a dream come true: she’s sweet, fun, and lets them do things that break all of the rules. But as Anna’s interactions with them take on a more sinister tone, the kids realize that their caretaker may not be who she claims to be, and soon it’s up to big brother Jacob to protect his siblings from the increasingly nefarious intentions of a very disturbed woman.

A young boy tries to protect his two siblings when their new baby sitter starts to reveal her psychotic nature.

Cast: Sarah Bolger, Carly Adams, Elisha Ali

main premise was predictable but the execution was really impressive. I was pretty stressed out the whole watch lol. Perverse and startling. Not a classic but def the best of a lot of movies trying to do similar vibes, even after all this time. If it's your thing you will love it. If not. . . probably still give it props.

Not a typical horror movie but genuinely horrifying

Tense and gripping. I was really worried about the kids. The babysitter is not what I would normally call imposing or threatening, but when children were involved she became terrifying. She genuinely gave me that creepy crawly feeling in my gut. Only thing I didn't get was her motivation. Maybe I missed the explanation, but I just didn't get why she was causing all this mayhem.
