Elevator Game
Directed by Rebekah McKendry
Based on the online phenomenon of the same name, ELEVATOR GAME follows socially awkward teenager Ryan, who ingratiates himself into a group of recent high school graduates that run an online web series debunking urban legends. But Ryan has a secret: His sister disappeared months earlier, and he believes they – and a dangerous online challenge called ‘The Elevator Game’ – were responsible. To play the game, you must ride the elevator in a specific sequence, invoking a supernatural creature called ‘The 5th Floor Woman’. In an attempt to gain more information as to the whereabouts of his sister, Ryan persuades the group to play the game once more, and risk unleashing the most fearsome consequences imaginable.
A teen searches for his sister via a ritualistic game.

It was fun to watch, not the best movie out there, but it's definitely worth a watch for all those who enjoy these sort of made-up supernatural stories like the elevator game, slender man & the midnight man etc etc.
Jenny Nichols said it best. (Paraphrased) Why would anyone play this game where the outcome is to probably die or nothing to happen at all? Horror is overlaid with meta, and this one you can just about feel the writer's room conversation of "how do we make a movie about this?" and hey, they did pretty well.
cool idea but atrocious lines, horrible acting.
It's alright. Low budget, doesn't quite deliver. Harmless. Pointless. Destined to vanish into the crowd of low budget indie horror.
It's decent. I do wonder how the rules of the game/ritual came about. There is some clear symbolism going down (the crossed moon being the light on the bottom of the elevator). Maybe the floors numbers were the floors traveled to before she died?
