Great Horror in the vein of Texas Chainsaw. Good build up and tense.
An 88 minute movie that felt like 120. I was not a fan of the story as I have seen it too many times and there was nothing that separated it from the others. It took too long to get to the interesting kills that turned out to be dull by the time they emerged. The dialogue was mind numbing. I support the wife as in 'WHY THE FUCK ARE WE FOLLOWING THIS JACKASS?' The blood and the gore were good, but not enough for me to want this to keep going. I looked at how much time was remaining at 1 hour and 13 minutes to see 15 minutes still remained. Fucking hell.
This was definitely an odd movie but very enjoyable
meh.
To say 'Eight Eyes' is an odd movie would be an understatement. I'm not even sure you would classify this as a horror... more an 'abduction thriller', perhaps. Other reviewers have suggested it has elements of The Hostel, which would be a fair comparison. Some decent acting, especially from the lead actress and some stunning scenery given its European setting. It's a hard film to recommend... given I'm not sure what kind of audience to which this could be recommended... apart from fans of odd, violent and gory abduction thrillers.
